Build Track gives your team the Studio 3T IDE and central control over who can access each MongoDB database. Pipeline Track includes everything in Build and adds Bridge, which streams changes from MongoDB to Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, HTTP endpoints or other MongoDB clusters, with transformation and data masking built in.
In your own infrastructure. Build Track is self-hosted and deploys to Kubernetes with Helm for production or with Docker Compose for evaluation. Bridge supports the same options.
No. The IDE opens MongoDB connections server-side, inside your cluster, and users’ browsers never connect to MongoDB directly. Connection credentials are encrypted at rest in Vault and are never stored on users’ machines. The only exception is the optional AI assistant.
Any edition, including MongoDB Atlas, self-managed deployments and Community. Standalone instances and replica sets are both supported.
Yes. Users sign in through Studio 3T Access, which connects to your identity provider over OIDC, SAML or LDAP, including Google and Microsoft Entra ID. Users are synced automatically the first time they log in.
Connections and users are grouped into workspaces. For each workspace, you decide who can see which connections, and whether they have Unrestricted, Restricted or Locked access. You grant and revoke access in one place, and there’s an audit trail of every change.
Yes. Studio 3T Desktop Enterprise Edition authenticates through Studio 3T Access, so desktop users get the same governed connections and never see raw credentials.
The assistant runs server-side, using a model provider you choose: Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI or Google Gemini. Prompts and schema context go to that provider, and there’s no on-premises model option at the moment. If your policy doesn’t allow sending that information to a third party, you can leave the assistant turned off.
A Kubernetes cluster (1.25+) with Helm 3.8+, an ingress controller with TLS, an external PostgreSQL database, and an SMTP relay if you invite users by email. For the bundled Vault, you also need a cloud KMS key, or you can connect your own Vault.
